The Flanders Group was founded on August 27, 1981, coincidentally, the same day his wife, Bernadette Guzzardo, gave birth to their triplet daughters Alexis, Brittany, and Courtney.  Christina Arnone Christina Arnone / Workers’ Compensation Specialist / 800-462-6435 Ext: 268 – Christina received her AS in Business Administration from MCC and graduated from Kaplan University with a Bachelor of Science in Management. She joined The Flanders Group in September, 2008 as a Workers’ Compensation Account Manager and moved into Workers’ Compensation sales in February of 2010. Originally from Rochester, Christina grew up in Irondequoit. She relocated to North Carolina, and later south Florida, before settling down to reside once again in New York with her partner, Rick, and her golden retriever, Daisy. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, boating, and spending time with her family and friends.
 Nancy Dehm Nancy Dehm / President/COO / 800-462-6435 Ext: 228 – Since the agency’s inception in August of 1981, Nancy has held various positions and now presides over the agency as the President/COO. She is responsible for the daily operations, automation, agency workflows, human resources and financials of the agency. Nancy received her Business Administration degree from St. John Fisher College in 1977. She resides in Mendon with her husband Robb. She and her husband have 3 adult children Adrienne, Erich and Troy. Nancy enjoys skiing, and spending time in the Thousand Islands in the summer.
 Heather Dougherty Heather Dougherty / President-Workers’ Compensation Division / 800-462-6435 Ext: 229 – Heather began with The Flanders Group in 1988 in the Workers’ Compensation Department. She currently serves as the President-Workers’ Compensation Division and is responsible for managing the growth and service of the agency’s 6 safety groups. Heather received her B.A. in Economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 1988. In 2000, Heather was recognized by the Rochester Business Journal on the 40 Under 40 list which honors professional success and community involvement. She currently serves on the board of Camp Good Days and Special Times in Rochester. As Treasurer of the Board of Bridges To Community, she has travelled to Nicaragua the last 7 years for a week of building homes in impoverished areas. As an avid runner, Heather has added four New York City marathons to her list of athletic accomplishments. She lives in Rochester with her daughter Taylor, and twin sons Ben and Will. She enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, and running.

Jeanne graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College, with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She is certified in Occupational Health and Case Management and is a member of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Jeanne has experience in varied occupational health settings providing case management, ergonomic and injury prevention programs. Jeanne and her husband Ken have two adult children, Michael and Suzanne. She treasures time with family and friends and enjoys traveling, gardening, sewing and decorating.
 Suzanne Green Suzanne Green / Workers’ Compensation Injury Manager/ 800-462-6435, ext. 269 – Suzanne joined The Flanders Group in April of 2012, as a member of the Injury Management Department. Suzanne graduated from Niagara University in 1999, with a Bachelors degree in Communications, and a minor in Business. She brings 7 years experience working for a partner of a law firm, concentrating in Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury, and Social Security Disability.  Suzanne resides with her husband Mike, in Penfield, NY.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking, being involved in local charity events, spending time with friends and family, and attending sporting events with her husband.

She provides support to the Account Managers who service our commercial crevice markets. Kim earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from SUNY Cortland in 1990 and taught Physical Education before starting a family. Kim lives in Pittsford, NY with husband Dan, daughter Brianna, and son Brady. She enjoys hiking, running, snow shoeing and spending time with friends.
 Crystal King Crystal King / Workers’ Compensation Injury Manager / 866-334-7222 Ext: 267 – Crystal King joined the Flanders Injury Management Department in 2007 as a Workers’ Compensation Injury Manager. She brings to The Flanders Group 27 years experience in the insurance industry which includes 18 years in the Workers’ Compensation arena. She has played a key role in assisting employers to become proactive instead of reactive, implementing safety committees and return to work programs. She holds a bachelors degree in Sociology from SUNY @ Buffalo, NY. Her interest includes the theatre, listening to classical, jazz and some oldies music. She also loves spending time with her granddaughter, visiting museums, reading and cake decorating. Crystal resides in Hilton, NY and has one adult daughter.
 Beth Malone Beth Malone / Nurse Case Manager, RN, BSN, CCM / 866-334-7222 Ext: 224 – Beth joined The Flanders Group in 2006, bringing over 30 years of experience as a Professional Registered Nurse and more than 20 years in Case Management. Beth has focused her career on Workers’ Compensation with expertise in medical cost containment strategies, provider relationship development, and multi-state managed care programs. Beth graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1976. She is a Certified Case Manager, a member of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses and holds a nursing licence in multiple states. Beth and her husband Bob have two adult daughters, Amy and Molly. She loves vacationing in the Adirondacks, quilting, sewing, scrapbooking, and spending time with family.

She earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts and B.A. in Communication from the University at Albany. She continued her education at SUNY Brockport where she received her M.A. in Communication in 2009. Domenica resides in Fairport with her husband Matthew and yellow lab Samantha. She enjoys spending time outdoors, playing lacrosse, working out, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
 Sharon Midgett Sharon Midgett / Workers’ Compensation Data Administrator / 800-334-7222 Ext: 244 – Sharon joined The Flanders Group in November 2006 as a member of the Injury Management Department. She brings experience from various administrative positions she held while living in Louisiana for the last 30 years. In December 1991 she received an Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems. She currently serves as the Workers’ Compensation Data Administrator and is responsible for input and data management in our Injury Management software system. Sharon is originally from West Irondequoit and moved back to the area with her husband Greg. Together they have four grown children living in various states. She enjoys traveling and visiting them and their families in her time off.

Having worked in law firms, the banking industry, and retail, Gerri has over 25 years of experience in customer service support. She attended Rochester Institute of Technology and completed certificate programs in Business Management and Instructional Design. She resides in North Carolina with her husband Mark, has two adult children Kelly and Jeff and two granddaughters. In her spare time she enjoys watching football, traveling, entertaining, and going to the movies.

She currently serves as a an Account Manager for the Workers’ Compensation Department. Kathy is on the Board of Directors for The Kids Miracle Making Club in Penfield and also is a Notary Public. In her spare time she enjoys crocheting, travelling and spending time with friends and family. She lives in Pavilion and has an adult daughter.
 Debbie Pakusch Debbie Pakusch / Senior Account Manager / 800-462-6435 Ext: 245 – Debbie joined The Flanders Group in 1998 and has 22 years experience in commercial lines insurance. She is a Senior Account Manager with a majority of clients in the refuse and nursery/landscape programs. Her focus is in providing the best possible service for everyone she touches by knowing their business and their needs to insure they always have a positive experience. Debbie resides with her husband and 2 dogs. They have three sons and two grandsons. Most vacations are spent in Nebraska visiting with her grandchildren.

Lindsey graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY in 2003 with a Bachelors degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. She comes to The Flanders Group with 8 years of insurance experience, having worked as the Director of Risk for her last employer. Lindsey just recently moved from Philadelphia, PA and now resides in Rochester, NY with her husband. In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, as well as going to concerts and sporting events.
 Michael Pollack Michael Pollack / Vice President, CPCU, ARM / 800-462-6435 Ext: 258 – Mike graduated from James Madison University (Magna cum Laude) in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology and a minor in Business. He began his insurance career as an Underwriter for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and then as an Underwriting Manager at Aetna Insurance Company as well as an Account Executive at Marsh & McLennan. Mike joined The Flanders Group in June of 1996 to manage the NYS Nursery Landscape Association insurance program. In addition, he also manages the Waste Haulers Insurance Program and works with large companies (100+ employees) in any industry to help them better manage their workers compensation program. Mike currently serves as Vice President of The Flanders Group. Mike earned the professional designation of CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) in 1995 and the ARM (Associate in Risk Management) in 2001. He is the past President of the New York State Nursery Landscape Association, past President of the Genesee Finger Lakes Nursery and Landscape Association and serves on another not-for-profit organization in the Rochester community. Mike grew up outside Owego, NY and then Manassas, VA. He now lives in Fairport with his wife Stacey and children Brian, Brittney, and Emily.
 Ellen Prescott Ellen Prescott / Account Manager / AIS / 800-462-6435 Ext. 240 – Ellen joined The Flanders Group in April 2012 and has over 30 years of experience in commercial lines insurance.   Her focus is with the nursery/landscape, refuse and real estate clients. Ellen grew up in the Adirondacks and earned her Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1975 where she majored in Elementary Education.  She began her insurance career at The Hartford in 1976.  In 1987 she moved to Rochester to take a position at General Accident where she spent 17 years.  Most recently, she worked as the Underwriter of a Livery Program for a local agency. Ellen lives in Victor with her husband, Dennis and spoiled cat – Mike.  In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading and bicycling.  She and her husband are fond of traveling to the Adirondacks and the Maryland Shore.
 Linda Rees-Murray Linda Rees-Murray / Director of Client Services, SPHR, RN, PGAP Clinician / 800-462-6435 Ext: 236 – Linda Rees-Murray was named Client Services Director in June of 2008. Her primary focus is assisting our clients with strategic HR initiatives designed to help control the total cost of risk. Linda is a Registered Nurse, Certified Work Comp Advisor, a Senior Professional in Human Resources, and a PGAP Clinician. She previously held leadership positions with large managed care organizations and later did work in hospice and palliative care. Linda also served as the HR director of a large horticultural and citrus export organization in Central Florida. Most recently, she was the principal owner of a consulting organization dedicated to empowering employers to take control of the high cost of workers’ compensation through injury management. She is a graduate of the University of Florida in Health and Human Performance and Nursing. She has completed advanced studies in Health Care Administration and is a member of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses and the Society of Human Resource Professionals. In her spare time, Linda enjoys gardening, going to the beach house and spending time with her family. She resides with her husband David and is Mom to Tray, Matthew, Patrick and CareyLee.

She came to us with over 12 years of experience in accounts receivable and customer service work. Shari is responsible for solving billing problems and payment issues for our clients. In December of 2007, he was promoted to a Workers’ Compensation Executive Account Manager. Riyadh grew up in Huntington, Long Island and relocated to Western New York in 2003. He attended The State University of New York at Geneseo and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. He and his wife Kate reside in the Rochester suburb of Webster with their children Emma and Ryan.

In her role as Client Services Coordinator, she partners with the President of our Workers’ Compensation Division to schedule appointments, prepare client information for presentation, and acts as day-to-day support to the initiatives of the Safety Group Department. Rochelle graduated from Bryant & Stratton Business Institute with Associates Degrees in Business Administration and Paralegal Pre-Law. Living in the southern tier for the past 30 years, Rochelle is the proud mother of James & wife Aurelie stationed in South Korea, David & wife Destiny stationed in Alabama, Chris stationed in NY, Nick, PJ and Olivia at home, and triplet grandsons. Rochelle enjoys spending lots of time with her children and being involved in community programs, exercising, dancing and enjoying warm, sunny weather.

In this capacity she is responsible for providing daily and on-going support to the staff ranging from scheduling meetings, events, and activities, to managing our advertising campaigns. In addition, Barb assists in our Business Development initiatives, helping our producers obtain and retain clients. Barb brings 20 years of customer service support with experience in the retail and mortgage industry. Born and raised in Henrietta, she currently lives in Penfield with her husband Darryl.  Jennifer Watson Jennifer Watson / Program Manager, ACSR, AAI, AIS / 800-462-6435 Ext: 241 – Jennifer joined The Flanders Group in May 2003 after graduating from St. John Fisher College and earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Sociology. Jennifer spent 8 years as a Senior Account Manager for the Marina, Nursery Landscape, and Refuse Haulers programs. Since 2012 she has assumed the role of Program Manager for these crevice markets allowing her to share her expertise with prospective clients. Jennifer earned the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) designation in May 2004, the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation in May 2007, and an Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) in May 2010. She enjoys camping with her family,running full and half marathons and exploring local events and attractions with her children. Her favorite place to visit is the Adirondack Mountains. Jennifer resides in Webster with her husband John and twin sons Ethan and Andrew, born July 2007.
 Valarie Webster Valarie Aloisio-Webster / Senior Vice President / 800-462-6435 Ext: 236 – Valarie joined The Flanders Group in January 1990 as Account Manager for Commercial Lines. In 1994, she was promoted to Director of Client Services, a newly created position designed to concentrate on client retention and client relationship management.  In 2006, she spearheaded the agency’s development of the Injury Management Department, whose main focus is the medical management of workers’ compensation claims and Recovery At Work programs. In 2008 she began work on an HR initiative, bringing human resource expertise into the agency. She currently serves as the Senior Vice President.  Valarie is proud to serve as an Editorial Board Member for Rough Notes Magazine, a national insurance publication. She graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester and currently lives in West Irondequoit with her son Jack.
 Marilyn Wedel Marilyn Wedel / Senior Workers’ Compensation Analyst / 800-462-6435 Ext: 257 – Marilyn received her AAS from SUNY Morrisville and graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management. Her background includes working for a regional shopping center manager, and many years with a large real estate developer in the risk management department. She joined The Flanders Group in 2001 as a Workers’ Compensation Account Manager. She is now our Senior Workers’ Compensation Analyst and her responsibilities include managing our experience modification analysis program, Code Rule 59 program and our NYS Statutory Disability program. Originally from Fulton, NY, Marilyn lived in Syracuse before relocating to Rochester. She now resides in the beautiful hills of Canadice with her husband Gene and their yellow lab Ollie and black lab rescue dog, Jett. She enjoys gardening, working on her house, hiking Canadice and Hemlock Lakes, traveling, country living, and spending time with family and friends.
 Jenn Weiland Jennifer Weiland / Accounting Manager / 800-462-6435 – Jennifer joined the Flanders Group in November 2012 as the Accounting Manager. She has 20 years experience in office administration with a focus for the last twelve years as a bookkeeper and accounts manager. Her experience is a culmination of a broad range of industries including: manufacturing, information technology, accounting/finance, restaurant and retail-recreation. She lives in Penfield, with her boyfriend, dog, cat and fish. In her personal time she enjoys reading, cycling, walking/jogging with her dog, spending time with friends/neighbors, and doing outdoor activities (in warm weather) whenever possible.
