PFL provides employees with job protection and paid time off for qualifying events to
- provide care for a family member with a serious health condition;
- bond with a child after birth, adoption or to welcome a child into foster care;
- cope with a military exigency leave event.
Insurance coverage for Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefits will be added to an employer’s existing NYS Statutory Disability policy and is funded by employee payroll contributions.
