On-The-Job training grants provide NYS businesses salary reimbursement for hiring job seekers who have been unemployed 27 weeks or more since January 1, 2008.
Companies with 50 or fewer employees would be eligible to be reimbursed for 90% of a new hires gross wages. Companies with 51-250 employees would receive 75% and over 250 employees received 50%. Companies must hire a full-time employee (35 or more hours per week) at a minimum of $10.00 per hour and the work cannot be seasonal or require a specialized certification or license.
