Work Related Travel

By August 22, 2011August 22nd, 2018

Employees should treat their work-related travel activity as one of the most likely times they can be injured. According to data from the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI), the most costly lost-time Workers’ Compensation claims, by cause of injury, are for those resulting from motor vehicle crashes. These injuries averaged $65,875 per workers’ compensation claim filed in 2007 and 2008. The only other causes with above average costs were falls or slips ($40,043) and burns ($36,974).
